Meet Thomas
My Story
Thomas’ father died of HIV/AIDS in 2004. Shortly thereafter, Thomas’ mother, who is also HIV+, realized she was not able to provide for her son. She left Thomas with his grandfather and moved back to her home village.
Thomas’ grandfather earns less than $1/day from selling charcoal and is unable to meet Thomas’ basic needs such as school fees and medical care.
Thomas is currently on New Hope’s waiting list. We are trying very hard to get more sponsors and donors so that we can add Thomas to our program and provide all his needs.
Thomas’ dream is to finish school and become a lawyer.
