Meet Reagan

My Story

Although Reagan’s parents are still alive, they have very little income and have been separated since Reagan was in primary school.  For a time following the separation, Reagan lived with his father, a polygamist with two wives who could not provide many basic necessities for Reagan.  For two years, Reagan did not go to school, instead forced to work all day in the fields.

Eventually, Reagan’s mother took him and six of his siblings back to her home village.  When Reagan’s mother was unable to provide food and educational support to Reagan, she sent him to live with an uncle.  Although Reagan attended school while with his uncle, he and his siblings often went hungry, eating at most twice a day.

Reagan came to New Hope in 2007 and is now under our full care.  With your help we can continue to provide Reagan with all his nutritional, medical and educational needs and greatly improve his quality of life.  To sponsor Reagan, please click the “donate now” button below.
