Meet Miria

My Story

Both of Miria’s parents died of AIDS before she was old enough to remember them.  After her parents’ death, Miria was sent to live with her grandmother.  Life with her grandmother was very difficult.  Miria could not afford to attend school regularly and sometimes went for days without food.  Before coming to New Hope, Miria lived in a small, mud hut in a rural area of Uganda.

Miria is now under the full care of New Hope.  She dreams of finishing school and becoming a nurse.  With your help we can continue to provide Miria with all her nutritional, medical and educational needs and greatly improve her quality of life.   To sponsor Miria, please click the “donate now” button below.
