Meet Joan

My Story

Before coming to New Hope Joan had been living with her grandmother. Though both her parents are alive, they separated when she was still an infant. Her mother was remarried to a man with HIV/AIDS and soon contracted the disease herself. Joan's step-father was a security guard but could not work because of his health issues.

Joan was brought to New Hope in early May 2009 after her grandmother died.

New Hope currently provides for all of Joan’s needs. Joan dreams of finishing school and becoming a nurse. With your help we can continue to care for all of Joan's nutritional, medical, and educational needs and greatly improve her quality of life.   To sponsor Joan, please click the “donate now” button below.
