Meet Harriet

My Story

Harriet’s father died in an accident in the year 2000. After his death, Harriet’s family did not have money for food or a place to live. They sold a piece of land in order to rent a house, but the money from that sale quickly ran out. Harriet’s mother did not have a job, so she would work in the neighbor’s garden to try and provide food for the family.

When Harriet was in Primary 2 she did not have enough money to pay her school fees, so her Uncle paid the fees for that year. The following year her neighbor paid her fees for Primary 3, and then the government paid her school fees through Primary 8. Her Uncle then came and brought her to Busia to go to school at New Hope, and paid her fees for a few semesters, but he is not paying her fees anymore.

Harrriet dreams of becoming a nurse. With your help we can continue to provide Harriet with all her nutritional, medical and educational needs and greatly improve her quality of life.   To sponsor Harriet, please click the “donate now” button below.
