Meet Esther

My Story

Esther and her 9 siblings live together with their single, HIV positive mother in the Nangwe slums of Busia.  Esther’s mother earns a small living by selling locally brewed beer outside the family’s home. Before getting support from New Hope, Esther could not afford to go to school and instead spent most days fetching water and helping her mother sell alcohol.   Esther sleeps on a papyrus mat in a small grass-thatched hut.  She dreams of finishing school and becoming a nurse.

Esther receives a small amount of support from New Hope in the form of school supplies, food, clothing and healthcare.  With your help we can provide Esther with all her nutritional, medical and educational needs and greatly improve her quality of life.  To sponsor Esther, please click the “donate now” button below.
