My Story
Brenda’s father died of AIDS when she was nine years old. Her mother succumbed to the disease the following year. After her father died, Brenda and her ailing mother went to live with Brenda’s grandmother. In addition to trying to continue her studies, Brenda was largely responsible for tending to her mother on the days that she was incapacitated by AIDS. When her mother finally died, Brenda was brought to New Hope.
Brenda is now under our full care. She dreams of finishing school and becoming an accountant.
